The town motto is "Make it Happen." I'm not really sure what they are trying to make happen there because there isn't much to it.
But they do seem to have a love a scuba diving. Never mind that the closest place to scuba dive is 5 hours away.
When I think of Nike, I also think of Lovington, New Mexico... not.

I grew up in Lovington. You have no idea how little there really is to do there. Bottomless lakes however isn't really that far away and is a great place to go diving. As for the Nike thing, he is not the only pro athelete to come from there, and not only in football.

Actually, I kinda got an idea after spending almost 3 weeks working there. I just took these particular pictures because they stood out.
